Career in Photography

Shoot these two friends at our apartment. A continuation of Portrait Projekt. So far been shooting 4 young professionals, with umbrella light. Want to try something new in photography.

I am so fascinated by the works of Joe McNally and Bert Stephanie. Whenever they shoot a model with artifial light, the product would be WOW! Years of experience in shooting portraits are shown in their artworks. Now both of em are busy giving photography talks in every part of the world. It's sharing time for them.

Trust me, photography is hardcore along the way. You need to understand when to work and when to rest. Now i can understand why photographers are paid twice of a month salary of government servant. Simply because of :

++ years of experience (high profiles persons worked with)
++ courses attended (lighting class, advance class)
++ equipment investment (high end body and lenses meant to produce great photo)
++ time (waiting, travelling during weekends)
++ skills (shooting, PR, creativity, ability read the light)

People want to be famous in photography, it's true at certain extent but there's a lot infamous photographers yet making a great living out there. Glamorous and fame are just bonus. If you have the success and fame, it's a double reward for. Unsung hero in a war is still a hero. Just make the clients happy and satisfied with the art works.
