Malaysia 52nd Independence Day & Jalan TAR

Malaysia 52nd Independence Day, during the 10th day of Ramadhan, celebrated by Malaysian in simple yet so meaningful manner. In respect of the Holy Ramadhan, there was no celebration at the Independence Square and KLCC as in previous years. The ceremony took place at Parliament.

The Muslim in Kuala Lumpur took the opportunity to shopping and did some early preparations for Eid Mubarak that will come about 20 days more.

Besides the festive season mood, most of the people were wearing facemask, H1N1 is still the threat to the society. I disagree with what the newspaper had published about the people still take H1N1 lightly. They need to go to the bazaar and town and see by themselves, majority of people are wearing masks.

the Decoratives

some people see this as vandalism, for me it's NOT
it's an Art (looking from the wide angle view). Give them a place to show off the talent, a competition or any kind of medium.

perhaps, they're so stress about life, this is where they expressed their unstable emotions instead of choosing to use drugs or any prohibited materials.
Nothing wrong with them, to the authority please provide a dedicated place for them to play with this art

peace no war!

Break fast with Nandos, just can't resist, yesterday i bought some films, velvia ASA 50 and shanghai black and white 120mm. Some simple preparation for journey to northern west coast Malaysia, looking for photographs of Ramadhan and National Day.

The Family Business

The Charcoal shop, operated more than two decades and still in the business. Photographs taken while travelling in Ipoh. The look of the shop just so classic, some movie shots for dramas and films were done here.

Salam Ramadhan to Muslim friends

Journey to the Border

At the border of Malaysia-Thailand, a district known as Rantau Panjang, shopping heaven for tax-free shoppaholics. Everything is here and just bring enough cash (how enough is enough here?). For myself, i bought a pair of Muay Thai Gloves, a perfect souvenir from the land of the well-known martial art.

Passion

Assalamaualaikum

Great, i want to share my passion of taking street photos in every town that i go. The reason is simple, every town has its own specialty and story. I love documenting; photojournalism and i will go any length or depth just to get the photographs. For me, they worth more than what money can buy.

Some people keep asking me, what are my tips when doing street shoot. Simple, back to basic, the composition is yours but control your light with great handling of your camera settings. Using the best camera on earth will not assure that your photograph is the best among others.

Do spend some money to buy good photography magazines (you can find alot), attending courses, seminars, lectures and looking through at others work and don't be shy to ask. It's the minor key (that is so important) in turning out yourself into one of world's best photographer.

Kuala Lumpur Photography Festival 2009

Went there to see and check some photography goods, shashinki, directphoto, international photo, eng tong (to name a few) also there. The fest is held until Sunday (August 16th 2009).

Next weekend is the starting of Ramadhan (Holy Month for Muslim). Still thinking of any interesting plan during fasting month, might be travelling and leisure series of photography trip.
