Wonderful Weekend

What a great KICK OFF for one of the most wonderful weekends! As i mentioned earlier about the maternity photoshoots. Need to reschedule but i just can't wait to shoot 'em. As my clients got so excited too, they have been 'googling' around for the perfect dress on that session. InsyaAllah, I will be delivering my very best to all of you.

Tomorrow, for 3 days, i'll be away again for an assignment that i just can't reveal it yet. (element of surprise lol).

choosing background

Hye all,

I want to share a bit about taking photos. Nowadays, taking photos seems so easy, clicking the shutter buttons and digital image appears at the back LCD. Is that all? No matter how would you class yourself as amateur or professionals. 1 thing we always neglect is the BACKGROUND.

Be you a wedding and portrait photographer for example, you have mastered the compositions, rule and guidelines of reading the light. But..! if you DO NOT choose an appropriate background, you are going to kill the photos. If you are not in rush, choose a good background.

You can see, any works by photographers all over the world, they are using the background as a supporting element in their photos. I hope this simple sharing, can benefits all of you out there!

Art-ist-ic

Thanks to Blog(any online writing medium) for allowing a person like me to keep writing/ expressing thoughts. Hope to contribute to the society by writing. Even though i am not qualified professional writer, it comes naturally..."Everyday Blogging"

Art :

Is something that is too discreet to be judged yet you can feel it presence. You do not have to understand what art really is, you need to close your eyes and imagine, take deep breath. Let it flows, it's sweet feeling. All of you out there need to be sensitive and know how to place ART into your life.

Music and Photography in my life is the core business, they are siblings and never be apart. I put those to in TRAVEL, seeing things in other places is damn great. You don't have to wait for the financial to stable, you got time+some cash+health and you should go. I just can't understand, why some people keep saying they have no time !

oh yea! i am not angry btw. I just want to encourage you guys to travel a lot. why? I don't have to tell you, it's ART, you must feel the ART of travel.

Cheers and Love!

Sabtu Day : productive day (a bit)

Woke Up a bit early, the housemates were cooking the prawns into 3 kind of dishes

1. Butter Prawn
2. Pepper Sauces
3. Egg Prawn (im not sure :p)

Thanks to Aboh & Chan for the day, simply delicious, it was the 'battery' for my journey to Kuching in the afternoon.

Then I start the journey heading to KLIA using the 'speed' of ERL, 28 minutes and I arrived at KLIA, check-in and get on board.
The seat number was 5D (lucky number @ ong), as I am craving for 5D or 5D Mk II hahahaha.
At the airport, Riezan and Ida were waiting for me at the arrival hall. However, the weather in Kuching was not so great, heavy rain plus stormy evening. Anyhow, everything is in great condition. Can't wait to photograph them tomorrow!

Friday Shouldn't be Lamed

Spending the days browsing, looking and seeing the touch of Jose Villa, Official Photographer of Jessica Claire's wedding. Jessica is in top 10 photographers in the States, top photographer is hiring another top compatriot for her wedding.

Besides that, Jose also plays LOMO, another similarity in us.

Today is just a lame day, but the last few hours of time i spent on the net. Doing some R&D for photography purpose.

thehehehehe

Feel so much into writings for the past few days. The mood has come back, ever since seems to fade away and i know it will return and inspired me to keep writing. Sharing everyday life in this online journal, what i see, i feel, i take photos and i want everybody know, life is so short to be wasted.

The weather is so bright, the sky is blue with cumulonimbus clouds decorating the day. When you feel that the city that you are living now is so crap, just spend some moment to look onto the sky and feel the rejuvenation take place in your mind. peace

What do i have in mind? thinking of going somewhere (Bukit Larut or Cameron Highland). looking for cold and tranquil place, get some rest and new ideas

Perhentian Memories

Hey!

Just looking some cool photos of Perhentian Island at facebook, then i just relook at my collections from there last April. Made it for 3 days 2 nights, some snorklings, found turtles, rays, parrotfish and more.

One of the 'coolest' island in Malaysia. how i miss it

Off to bed now. Nite

Crack and Quakeless

People rush to downstairs
Fire engine sounds so loud

I decided to wake up all housemates as they were already asleep. Not knowing what actually happen, i went to the apartment lobby and people seems to be panic. There is no fire or any suicide attempt and the fire crew from BOMBA were there

around 40 minutes later, they annouced what actually happen :

a crack on the floor at a house is just a normal one, nothing serious or related to earthquake. On September 3Oth, 7.6 Magnitude quake was rocking Pariaman, Kota Padang in Sumatera, hence the states at West Coast Malaysia could feel the shake.

Luckily all in good condition

Tonight will go to Malaya University with FadManaf for Seminar in Professional Photography Costing by Saiful Nang.

Shots @ UiTM Shah Alam

They Are Great!

Agah Permadi
Rarindra

These two Indonesian Photographers are SUPER AWESOME ARTISTS on earth (for me). Why? they are using the simplest tools in photographing the subjects. Canon 350D and 50mm f1.8 II and 70-200mm f4 L for Agah Permadi and Rarindra respectively.

I'm so impressed! They are not using fish eye lens but portrayed great art by using natural available light. Just click the link above and FEEL by yourself.

Kuala Terengganu

My last visit to Kuala Terengganu (for wedding assignment). Went to China Town, and i was mesmerized by the architectural and colours of the building. However, i did not bring any digital cameras as I wanted to give the darling Yashica a real test. With few lenses to utilise, under the 'flat'weather of Kuala Terengganu, i managed to get some shots.

As expected, the colours of the photos were bit faded due to the expired film effect, the grain are just too obvious (ASA 400, mind me) but for some film photography lovers, these are the originality and absolute trademark of film.

The China Town still in renovation phase, the shovels and bulldozers were everywhere, i wonder what will be the new face of this town look like. For those who never had any chance to visit the town, it is almost the same like Jonker street in Malacca (simpler version of Malacca)

What's next?

Art of Seeing

In photography, i believe and practice one think; bring camera along as always as you can. The theory goes like this, whenever i did not bring the gears, there was always something important happened around me and i just can only sighed.

Be ready, be there at the right time and moment.

Been so free this week, just after the Eid Mubarak, just spending time watching travel documentaries, strolling in the streets.

I just simply cannot understand, why the people nowadays just so lazy to explore the cameras, join forums and involve in photography outings. Through there, you will find more people with the same interest, same problems that you might encounter. Just the perfect place to have some discussion. There is no short cut

The photo shots with lomo camera on expired film

thinking

at this very moment
im still thinking about the journey to Hatyai/Bangkok by train
don't wanna miss the view during day time

hope to get out from this and find the suitable time

I just love to be here by the way

Kemasik is a 'lala land' for any person who wants to find peace after hectic days of working. Free admission and got some stalls selling coconut juice, just enough to chill away the heat of sun.

If you have kite, kemasik gives you a dedicated place to fly the kite.

Open Burning

The fires were caused by land-clearing activities. During the traditional days of plantation, land-burning methods were used to clear the land for corps plantation.

In Sarawak, due to bad air quality, since April the ban had been imposed to any culprits that initiate the open burning.
